I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of East London, UK.
I also hold a Certificate in Psychotherapy, Counselling and Coaching from the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, London, UK, with a focus on Existential therapy.
Specialised Somatic and Trauma-Informed Approaches Training:
Compassionate Inquiry (CI) Professional Training: I am a graduate of the Compassionate Inquiry Professional Training, developed by Dr. Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur. CI is a somatic and psychotherapeutic approach that gently uncovers and releases layers of childhood trauma, constriction, and suppressed emotion embedded in the body, which are often at the root of physical and mental distress.
Integrative Somatic Parts Work Level 3 (with Fran D Booth): I am trained in the integration of somatic (body-based) practices with ‘parts’ work (similar to Internal Family Systems), helping you to understand and harmonise the different aspects of yourself.
Embodiment Coaching Certificate (with Mark Walsh): This training further allows me to incorporate body-awareness and movement principles to help you feel more grounded, present, and authentic.
I have followed additional training in Inner Child Healing with the Centre for Excellence.
I am continuing my professional development on a regular basis (CPD) and I receive ongoing supervision, in accordance with the BACP ethical framework. In this respect, I am currently undertaking a Complex Trauma Certification Training with Dr Janina Fisher, the Professional Education Systems Institute, UK (PESI).
I hold a Master Degree in Communication and Public Relations.
I previously worked in the charity sector with a focus on mental health and wellbeing as well as social and urban regeneration. This experience has enriched my understanding and insight into the broader social, cultural and environmental aspects that can contribute to shaping our development as individuals.
